Samsung unveils largest capacity 1.8-inch external HDD

August 6, 2009 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung S1 Mini

Looks like Samsung has used its Spinpoint N3U to bring the first 250GB capacity 1.8-inch external USB HDD to the world. They have added 250 and 200GB variants to its 1.8-inch S1 Mini line and if you were to consume all the 250GB space, it would take around 80,000 photos or 60,000 MP3s or 96 hours of DVD quality video to fill that up.

In addition to the space, these drives are equipped with Auto Backup, SecretZone that encrypts data in AES-128bit or AES-256bit and SafetyKey to password protect confidential files and auto backup.

The 250GB and 200GB S1 Mini will be available in six different colors at an unknown price.
