Samsung X3 Ultrathin notebook

UPDATE: X3 is in fact X420. Other models announced were X520 (15.6-inch) and X120 (11.6-inch).

We already told you some of the products Samsung will be showcasing and now Samsung pulls off a new product from its bag. It’s an ultrathin notebook called as the X3 that weighs under 4 pounds and has a 14-inch display, undisclosed dual-core Intel processor and a 6-cell battery that promises to give up to 9 hours of runtime. Additional features include integrated HSPA, HDMI-out, 3-in-1 card reader, VGA and 3 USB ports and a security feature that slyly takes picture of the user at the start up for verification of its legitimate owner or else it locks down the PC. What happens when the real owner goes to pick up his coffee while PC performs the startup ritual?!

Anyways, it will come in white, silver and black colors with matte casing with a price hovering from 699-899 Euros ($1000-1300).

Samsung is also planning a 15.6- and 11.6-inches versions too.
