Samsung will soon be launching its own branded memory cards in the Taiwan market. According to Digitimes, Samsung plans to make an announcement on October 20 with Transcend, who is said to handle the back-end packaging and distribution of the cards.

Transcend who sells cards under its name will differentiate both the offerings by targeting the Samsung cards to high-end market.

Understandably, Samsung will also pitch its cards with its own devices in the near future.
