Lee Kun-hee’s return good or bad for Samsung?

March 26, 2010 By kunal Leave a Comment

Lee Kun-hee

If you’re unaware, Lee Kun-hee who had resigned from his post in 2008 over fraud and ethics, returned to the Samsung Group as a chairman of Samsung Electronics. While the move is said to save Samsung from the crisis they’re facing, there is a mixed feeling about his return.

KoreaTimes has done a detailed piece on this and says that although 68-year old’s experience could come in handy there is a chance the old style of working to be adopted along with the return of Kun-hee’s faithful employees.

Furthermore, it’s being said that Lee’s comeback will give Jae-yong (Lee’s son) more time to groom and lead the whole Samsung Group in the near future. Jae-yong is currently the COO of Samsung Electronics.
