Samsung gives away Wave to developers, iterates cheaper bada phones incoming

bada roadmap

Samsung is holding bada developer days in many cities across the world to give enable developers a better look at the platform. While all that is fine, the recent developer day that was held in South Africa, Samsung gave away Wave phone to every journalist and developer present at the event.

The lucky folks from Phonereport were at hand who also got to talk with a Samsung executive confirming something about upcoming bada phones. Interestingly, a new device will be launched this year that will be similar to Wave and cost less than $200. We assume the similarity will be design-wise only since integrating powerful specs present in Wave would be infeasible for a phone at that price. Another phone that will make its way out will be a sliding QWERTY handset with touchscreen display.

Last month, a leaked bada roadmap revealed that Samsung wants to cater bada devices at multiple price points.

[Thanks, Muhammad!]
