as its said that wave is retailing at INR 19000, I am wondering, how cum its price is so low in India as in Europe when it was launched around 2 months ago carrying a price tag of around 25000 INR if converted in INR. Is it the same wave or an indian version is a different one??????

It should be available in about week’s time. Maybe some retailers are already stocking it.

Wave is priced at 18000 in bangalore and the UI is simply amazing and the features are something to drool over for a long time.
Video quality is as good as any professional video rec device available and teh sound is also ultimate…I just had a sneak peek at it yesterday and was more than blown over by it..

Hey guys…I got the phone yesterday in Chennai for INR 17,500, damn good piece, it uses an ARM8 Cortex processes giving you 1GHz of clocking which is at par with the iPhone…The touch is fantastic but even more appealing is the high contrast ratio and the colour temperature. The best part is that you can chat with your friends in Orkut, Facebook, Yahoo, etc. in one window itself without the problem of constantly changing windows…haven’t seen anything like that in any other phone…Just waiting to try the Wi-Fi as well…

What is it priced at other places…?

HI everyone. Any one who has bought the Wave and used all the features?
From some of the comments above i see that it is very fascinating device.
But from some tech forums, it is being said the the BADA OS applications are not as vast as the android market or the iphone OS.
Can any of the wave users inform on the application part.
I have looked at the hardware specs and they are awesome, this is the only thing that is stopping me from buying it–the BADA OS
Clarifications greatly appreciated. on [email protected]

    Thanks —Ritz

    @Ritz:
Dude, I bought Wave just 4 days ago. Yeah! you are right it’s the debut of the BADA OS – proprietary of Samsung.

So it’ll take some time for the apps to be comparable with the options available in Andriod or the iPhone OS. But, the vision is these and they already have quit a few already so I am sure as the time progresses BADA will be at least be respectable in terms of the apps number, in not comparable. But, The phone is simply awesome…

You can go for HTC Legend but if you can wait, Galaxy 3 and Galaxy 5 are expected to hit the market soon. It will apparently be cheaper than your budget.

i would suggest , dont just look at a vendor carrying android..look at who handles it best..android has a lot of potential uses but most players have just been giving the bare minimum functionality from it untill galaxy S.
Wait for a month (if u can) and the prices are bound to come down by 3-4K for the galaxy S (and by around 2k for wave).

@Ravi: If you happen to be a Delhiite or a Mumbaikar, u may opt for MTNL’s #g service which is much better than BSNL. You can chk their offering on http://mumbai.mtnl.net.in/3gweb/tariff_3Gmobile.html..However any other part of India has only BSNL.The service appears good as it has no competition but much is left to be desired. Anyway, BSNL has the cake for the moment

yup..bsnl is the only option for u….if not using a 3g connection, download speeds could range between 5-15 kbps and browsing speed upto 100 kbps using a general GPRS/EDGE connection…but, i would suggest to give BSNL 3g a try as it is pretty light on the pocket.
