32GB LRDIMM

Samsung has introduced industry’s first 32GB load-reduced dual-inline memory module (LRDIMM). Servers used for virtualization, cloud computing or any other server applications will be able to take advantage of the 40nm-class memory that has 72 4Gb (gigabit) DDR3 chips and additional memory buffer chip to reduce load on memory by up to 75 percent.

In developing the industry’s first load-reduced module with 40nm-class DDR3 technology, we are underscoring our determination to combine the best of capacity and performance for the newest generation of servers.

32GB LRDIMMs can now increase server memory capacity to a 384GB or a whopping 768GB in case of a two-way server system. The new modules are about 70 percent faster that processes data at 1,333Mbps with a max. power consumption of 1.5 volts.

Mass production of these 32GB LRDIMMs will start in second half of this year.
