If you had doubts about using Swype on a touchscreen device, here’s some proof to get you going. A British woman, Melissa Thompson has created a world record by typing the Guinness World Record approved text “The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.” in under 26 seconds (25.94secs to be precise).
This feat is yet to be acknowledged by Guinness World Record authorities but has clearly outdone the official world record held by Franklin Page from US who used Swype with Omnia II to write the aforementioned sentence in 35.54 seconds.
