Samsung bets big on Mobile WiMAX, claims their coverage reaches 200m people

Samsung is the leader in supplying Mobile WiMAX equipment and is bullish on the future of technology. Samsung supplies its equipment to over 56 Mobile WiMAX operators in 34 countries and their coverage reaches to 200 million people with a 100 million more expected to be covered by the end of this year.

As far as subscribers are concerned, there are about 3 million subscribers currently but expects to grow to 20 million by year-end and a whopping 45 million in 2011.

More than 160 operators in 76 countries are providing or are preparing to offer commercial Mobile WiMAX services.
