Founding owner of Samsung Group and Samsung Electronics’ chairman, Lee Kun-hee has confirmed that his only son, Lee Jae-yong will be promoted from the Chief Operating Officer (COO) position to the President in Samsung Electronics.
The confirmation came from Lee when he was asked about the news swirling about his son’s promotion.
One of the reasons to promote Jae-yong to a higher position is that Samsung wants to infuse “young blood” in order stay ahead of the competition.
Young people will help Samsung make faster judgments in order to get ahead and keep ahead. …Besides, young people are more adaptable to new cultures and the changing surroundings.
