Samsung has announced operator billing for users using the Samsung Apps store to download mobile apps. Samsung Apps supports various billing options like credit card, prepaid card and cyber cash but with operator billing users can purchase the app and the payment will be charged to user’s phone account, thus eliminating the need to divulge sensitive credit card information.

The roll out will be done in phased manner in countries like in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Ukraine, Vietnam, India, Thailand and Indonesia.

To promote the new billing system, Samsung has also come up with Buy Hot Apps, Get Cool Gadgets offer wherein Wave users purchasing apps will be entered into a draw to win prizes.
