Samsung sues AU Optronics, Acer for LCD patent infringement in US

June 3, 2011 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung has filed a new complaint with the U.S. ITC against AU Optronics and its customers Acer, Sanyo and BenQ for infringing some of its display-related patents. Samsung says these companies use some of their LCD technologies without giving the Korean giant any payment and is seeking an order to restrict the import and sales of the infringing LCD products.

Samsung has also filed federal lawsuits in courts of Delaware and California and is seeking damages for an undisclosed sum.
