Analysts: Samsung on the way to become world’s largest smartphone maker

June 13, 2011 By kunal 1 Comment

Samsung has a fair chance of becoming the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer by overtaking the Finnish giant, Nokia. According to a research note by Nomura analysts, Nokia who had ruled the smartphone market since 1996 will give away its smartphone lead to Samsung followed by Apple.

Another Gartner analyst reckons if Nokia’s new devices fail to attract sales, Samsung will become the largest smartphone maker in Q3 with Galaxy S II sitting at the top of the table.
