
Samsung’s latest line of PMPs run on Android OS but the Korean company will soon launch an affordable touchscreen-equipped media player running proprietary OS in Russia and other parts of the globe. The YP-R2 PMP is really small that measures 50.9×90.9×8.6mm and is clearly influenced by Galaxy S II with its textured battery cover design.
The PMP comes with a 3-inch WQVGA LCD, 4 or 8GB of storage, SoundAlive, FM Radio, voice recorder, mic and a battery life of 40 hours for music and 4 hours for video. The player also supports variety of multimedia codecs, including mp3HD and has a feature called as Music Square that sorts and organizes music tracks according to user’s preferences.
