Samsung LED advanced in its legal entanglement with Siemens-owner Osram. The subsidiary of the Korean giant has filed a complaint against the US International Trade Commission to seek a ban on the imports of the products from Osram.

In addition to the complaint, Samsung has also filed a lawsuit in the District Court in Delaware seeking damages and permanent injunction.

Samsung LED alleges that Osram is infringing on eight patents on their core light emitting diode technologies.

In June, Osram had sued Samsung in US and Germany, to which the Korean outfit retaliated by suing the company back in South Korea.
