Samsung is holding a media event in New York on Aug 3 to celebrate the launch of Galaxy Tab 10.1’s new software update. Having an event just for a software update is unheard of but it is understandable considering the update will bring lots of new features. Event attendees will be able to load their Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the latest update that brings features like TouchWiz UI, Mini Apps, revamped Media Hub, pre-loaded Amazon Cloud Player, Kindle app and bunch of enterprise apps.
Galaxy Tab 10.1 owners in New York will be able to install the latest update at the store on the same day between 1PM to 6PM whereas rest of the crowd will have to wait before Samsung officially releases it.
