Samsung has announced a new SSD series with faster transmission speeds. The new 830 Series SSDs is the same Samsung announced recently but has got a marketable name and an aesthetic pleasing brushed metal enclosure. The 830 Series boasts double the data bandwidth than the successful 470 Series and gives a sequential read/write speed of 500/350 megabytes (MB) per second.
Samsung has confirmed the 830 Series SSD will also come in an upgrade bundle that consists a copy of Norton Ghost, a bracket to install the SSD in a 3.5-inch bay and the necessary cables.
The 830 Series will be released in October in capacities of 64GB , 128GB, 256GB and 512GB.
