Samsung ruled the mobile market in Europe in Q2 2011

International Data Corporation’s (IDC) recently released data that puts Samsung at the top spot in the European mobile phone market for second quarter of this year. Out of the 20.4m feature phones shipped in Q2, Samsung shipped whopping 9.1m units.

In the smartphone market, IDC says Samsung was at the forefront with the wide choice of Galaxy smartphones running Android OS. Samsung captured a market share of 22 percent that shipped 4.8m units for the last quarter.
