Samsung has announced the smaller sibling of Galaxy S II – Galaxy R for Taiwan. The Tegra 2-toting Android smartphone will be available to Taiwanese consumers by end of this month. Galaxy R as we know features a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4.19-inch Super Clear LCD, HSPA+ supporting up to 21Mbps, 5MP camera supporting 720p HD video recording, full 1080p HD video playback and free games like Dead Space and NFS Hot Pursuit from EA.
Local operators Chunghwa Telecom and Taiwan Mobile will also add their suite of software content like Hami Music, Hami Bookstore, Hami Apps Store, ezPeer Online Music, MoFun app and more.
The phone will retail for NT$15,900 (US$537).
