LCD China

Samsung is considering to upgrade its under-construction LCD plant in China to 8.5 generation. According to Yonhap News, Samsung is strongly contemplating to change the original 7.5 generation fabrication facility to an 8.5 generation one. Upgrade in the generation will allow Samsung to produce LCD panels using latest display technologies.

The 600,000 sq. mtr fabrication line in Suzhou, China was supposed to start mass production in 2013 but with the probable upgrade, the plant could face a further delay.
