Samsung today held an event in South Korea celebrating Samsung Electronics’ 42nd anniversary. Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman and CEO, Choi Gee-sung addressed the event to the 400 employees in attendance, highlighting the future prospects of the division.
Choi iterated the Vision 2020 – which they announced two years back – to achieve a revenue of $400 billion and become one of the top 10 firms in the world with number one in the electronics industry.
Choi also said that to sustain growth and avert any future financial crisis, Samsung should be more innovative and creative, concentrate on the emerging businesses and markets, strengthen the business by effectively integrating software and hardware and if need be, look into mergers and acquisitions.
