Samsung confirmed today that they’ve promoted Kwon Oh-hyun, President of Samsung Semiconductor and Display division to Vice Chairman in their annual year-end management reshuffle.
Early this year, Samsung had merged its semiconductor and LCD panel division into one in order to offset the losses faced by the display division and Kwon managed to strengthen Samsung’s leadership in memory and expansion of the system LSI business.
Meanwhile, Samsung also announced another change with Jung Yeon-joo, who’ll now be the Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung C&T Corp.
