KT unblocks internet access to Samsung Smart TVs

February 15, 2012 By kunal 1 Comment

South Korea’s biggest fixed-line operator, KT finally restored internet connectivity to apps and services accessing from Samsung Smart TVs. The move is apparently a result of the ongoing negotiations between KT and Samsung.

On this positive outcome, Korea Communications Commission (KCC) confirmed that Samsung has also agreed to withdraw its lawsuit from the court.

KT last week announced to block internet access to Samsung Smart TV due to excessive usage of bandwidth that hampered service to other users.
