Samsung increased the RAM in Galaxy S III variants to make it “future-proof”

June 28, 2012 By kunal 1 Comment

A new report by The Verge says Samsung made a last minute change to integrate 2GB RAM in Galaxy S III variants. The reason for upgrading the RAM is that they wanted the device to be “future-proof” as company’s engineers weren’t fully sure of the Jelly Bean’s hardware requirements. This, if true, is interesting because the international GT-I9300 variant sports only 1GB of RAM.

The Galaxy S III variants that come with 2GB RAM are selling in Japan, Canada and United States.
