Samsung Display will be integrated with SMD and S-LCD on July 1

June 29, 2012 By kunal Leave a Comment

As expected, Samsung’s display-related subsidiaries – Samsung Mobile Display (SMD), S-LCD and Samsung Display will be integrated into one on July 1. The recently spun-off Samsung Display will hold a meeting on Monday to amalgamate OLED manufacturing SMD and LCD TV panel manufacturing S-LCD, which Samsung acquired from Sony after both companies dissolved the joint venture.

After the merge, Samsung Display will employ around 26,000 employees and have assets worth US$29 billion.
