Appeals Court lifts Galaxy Nexus sales ban temporarily, denies respite to Galaxy Tab 10.1

Galaxy Nexus

Few days ago, U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh granted injunctions against the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy Nexus banning sales of both the devices in the United States. However, Samsung had also appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for a stay on the injunction and they have given out their verdict.

The court issued an order stating that “Samsung’s request for an immediate stay is denied” for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 but on the other hand, Samsung received the injunction stay for Galaxy Nexus. The stay on the injunction will remain in effect until it considers Apple’s argument.

As Engadget points out, the unlocked Galaxy Nexus version with Android 4.1 is already up for sale on the Play Store and will ship within one or two weeks, which could be loaded with the patch to circumvent the infringement.
