Samsung will restore universal search in Galaxy S III

July 26, 2012 By kunal Leave a Comment

Galaxy S III

Samsung admitted to have committed a gaffe by removing the universal search feature from the international Galaxy S III (I9300). In a statement released to Tech Radar, the UK subsidiary says the feature was removed “inadvertently” and “will provide the correct software upgrade within the next few days.”

The XXBLG6 update that was released yesterday removed the ability to search for queries within contacts, apps, files etc.

Some Galaxy S III variants in the US have been stripped of this functionality to pre-empt the devices from getting banned.
