Samsung working on Exynos vulnerability fix

December 19, 2012 By kunal 1 Comment

Exynos

Samsung has confirmed that they’re working to fix the hardware flaw found on some Exynos-powered devices. In a statement given to Android Central, the company says they’re aware of the issue and are working to provide a fix “as quickly as possible.”

Samsung also says the issue does not affect most users who install reputed and authenticated apps.

Earlier this week, developers discovered a serious vulnerability in Exynos 4210 and 4412 SoCs that gave R/W access to physical memory, which can be used for malicious purposes.
