Just a week after Samsung dropped their injunction request, LG Display today has confirmed to have requested the court to drop the sales ban of Galaxy Note 10.1 in South Korea. LG says they want to resolve the dispute and promote fair competition.

LG Display seeks an alternative solution through an amicable negotiation with Samsung to clarify the respective rights and duties of each party and analyze the proper value of the patents.

Meanwhile, Samsung has welcomed the decision and have reiterated the fact that they’re more than willing to resolve it through negotiation.

Earlier this month, both company’s executives along with an intervention from the government met in a hotel and agreed to resolve the differences.
