Japanese court upholds decision in favour of Samsung

In August last year, the Tokyo District Court ruled Samsung didn’t infringe Apple’s content synchronization patent and today the Intellectual Property High Court in Tokyo upheld the previous decision in favour of Samsung.

The court threw Apple’s appeal saying Samsung didn’t infringe the patent that dealt with “synchronizing music and video data on its Galaxy smartphones and tablets with servers”.

Last week, the Japanese court ruled Samsung infringed Apple’s bounce-back patent.
