Samsung Galaxy Note sales surpass 38 million units

Samsung introduced the first Galaxy Note in 2011 amidst some criticism due to its size. Fast forward to 2013, Samsung has sold over 38 million units, according to co-CEO JK Shin. Shin at a press conference at IFA confirmed that the cumulative sales of Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note II have surpassed 38 million units and are expecting over 10 million for the Galaxy Note 3, which in retrospect seems to be a conservative number for the latest Galaxy Note flagship.

JK Shin also defended Galaxy Gear’s high asking price of $299 by saying that the price is justified since “it provides a lot of functions”.
