In case a colourful and a tad smaller Galaxy J doesn’t match your taste, NTT Docomo also announced the S Pen toting Galaxy Note 3 (SC-01F) that will go on sale in Japan from October 17. The feature set of the Galaxy Note 3 remains unchanged except for some modifications to make it Japan-friendly. Users will find the same 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, Android 4.3 onboard, 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM, LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 13MP and 2MP cameras, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD card slot, 3200mAh battery. Japanese variant also adds support for FeliCa NFC, One-Seg, NOTTV.
Galaxy Gear will also make it way to the Japan, however, the release and price are unclear at the moment.
Beautiful phone. I’m still enjoying the NTT Docomo version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (SC-02E). With one more year of contract to go, I expect I’ll be upgrading to the Galaxy Note 4 if and when it arrives. For rooting options for the Japnese Galaxy Note 2, check out my site.
is it possible to buy a Galaxy note 3 in Japan without subscribing to any plan? I want to use my foreign sim card?
another question: is it possible to get the phone without the service provider layer installed in the phone, I want to get the original version.
thanks a lot
