Samsung just announced an affordable media player that will transform any HDTV to a Smart TV. Dubbed as Smart Media Player (GX-SM530F), the device supports Smart TV apps, enabling users to gain access to over 100 Smart apps like Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, Hulu etc. It even supports S-Recommendation engine, Allshare and Screen Mirroring feature to wirelessly stream content from the Samsung device.
Furthermore, the Smart Media Player supports live TV, thus allowing customers to save on the cable box rental fee.
The device will be available from October 23 for $149.99.
