Samsung exec reckons it will take 3-4 years before OLED TVs goes mainstream

OLED TV USA

OLED TVs produce some good picture quality but the biggest gripe with the technology is its price. Even Samsung acknowledges it. Despite having their OLED TV in the market, Samsung’s HS Kim claimed “not many consumers tried to purchase OLED TVs”.

The reason for such a high price is the OLED manufacturing process. Kim believes for OLED TVs to go cheap and mainstream, it will take around “three to four years” as by the time, they’ll work on the issues faced by the OLED production process.

The current OLED TV price stands at around $9,000.
