
As expected, Samsung has announced the next-generation Chromebooks. The Chromebook 2 series devices are slated to go on sale in April in the United States and will come in two display options – 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch. Chromebook 2 devices now feature the same Galaxy Note 3-like faux leather at the back with a stitched border for a premium look and boasts a faster processor along with better battery life and display. The 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch Chromebooks are powered by an Exynos 5 Octa processor that enables the notebook to wake up in less than a second and boots under 10 seconds.
Furthermore, it has 4GB RAM, Full HD 1920×1080 pixels resolution for the 13.3-inch, two 2W speakers, up to 8.5 hours of battery life and is pre-loaded with up to $100 of software, including Air Droid Premium, Wunderlist Pro, LittleBridge.com.
Chromebook 2 will sell from April with the 11.6-inch Chromebook 2 priced at $319.99 whereas the 13.3-inch model will go for $399.99.
