Galaxy Tab 7.7 has been the only tablet from Samsung to feature an AMOLED display and after a three-year hiatus, Samsung is rumoured to bring a new tablet equipped with an AMOLED display. According to a report by SamMobile, Samsung will most likely call the device as ‘Galaxy Tab S’ and will come in two display sizes – 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch with a display resolution support of WQXGA (2560×1600), similar to Samsung’s latest Galaxy PRO series.
However, the site claims Galaxy Tab S will also lay claim to be the Samsung’s first tablet with a fingerprint scanner and will work similarly to the one in Galaxy S5 with a physical home button. It will resemble to the Galaxy Tab 4 but will be slimmer and have a perforated back design just like the Galaxy S5.
As for the rumoured specs, it will have Samsung’s Exynos Octa-core 5420 processor, 3GB RAM, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/GLONASS, ANT+, and infrared port for universal remote control, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and 2.1 megapixel camera. Both cameras will support Full HD video recording.
