Samsung Gear Live gets the teardown treatment

July 8, 2014 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung Gear Live

Samsung’s Gear Live smartwatch is the latest gadget to go under iFixit’s knife. The site tore down the smartwatch giving us a closer look at the components that powers one of the first Android Wear smartwatches.

While the Gear Live passes the repairability score with flying colours, the teardown reveals an interesting tidbit – a Wi-Fi antenna, which ideally shouldn’t be present in the Gear Live.

Gear Live is Samsung’s first smartwatch running Android Wear and fourth in its wearables range after Galaxy Gear, Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo.
