Samsung has confirmed that beginning Jan 1 2015, the company will start using Microsoft Word as the main word processing software in the organisation. The Electronics arm will be the first one to adopt Microsoft’s Word software and will be followed by other Samsung affiliates.

Samsung currently uses JungUm Global since 1994 but will migrate to MS Word in a phased manner that holds almost 90 percent of the global market share.

Samsung’s Jae-yong Lee met with Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella last week to discuss the ongoing patent lawsuit along with other things to collaborate on and the latest announcement seems to be the result of that!
