Samsung has teamed up with AMD to release new UHD monitors equipped with AMD’s FreeSync technology. The collaboration was announced yesterday at AMD’s Future of Compute event in Singapore where Samsung confirmed to bring the monitors sometime in March 2015.

Initially, Samsung will offer two models with FreeSync – the UD590 (23.6-inch and 28-inch variants) and UE850 (23.6-inch, 27-inch and 31.5-inch variants) and will roll out across entire UHD lineup.

FreeSync is AMD’s answer to Nvidia’s G-SYNC technology but AMD’s tech is based on open-standards that resolves the issue of screen tearing that is generally faced during gaming or video playback.
