USITC will investigate Samsung’s complaint against Nvidia

Galaxy Note 3 Neo Review

Samsung’s legal battle with Nvidia took a new turn as United States International Trade Commission (USITC) confirmed to investigate Samsung’s complaint against Nvidia. Samsung alleged Nvidia of infringing graphic chip patents back in November after both companies sued each other in federal courts.

As PC World points out, in addition to federal court, ITC has become a go-to place for companies to file a complain as USITC’s decision could effectively impose a sales ban and import of infringing products in the US market.

In September, Nvidia came forward and sued Qualcomm and Samsung for infringing GPU patents related to programmable shading, unified shaders and multithreaded parallel processing.
