Samsung launches mid-range phones in India

E7.E5.A3.A5 launch

Samsung launched four new mid-segment smart phones – GALAXY A5, GALAXY A3, GALAXY E7 and GALAXY E5 in India.

GALAXY A5 and GALAXY A3 are Samsung’s slimmest smart phones to date made featuring unibody design. The new devices are targeted at the Chinese manufacturers that are eating up the market share of the big wigs pretty fast.

GALAXY A5 & GALAXY A3

The GALAXY A5 and A3 have been designed to empower young consumers to enjoy the stylish design and flagship features with an assortment of appealing colors. The dual SIM capability phones feature unibody design that are 6.7mm and 6.9mm thin, respectively. Both devices come in a variety of colors, including Pearl White, Midnight Black, and Champagne Gold.

The A5 features a 5 inch display and comes with a 5 megapixel front camera for selfie lovers and a 13-megapixel rear camera.The phones are powered by quad core 1.2 GHz processor with 2GB of RAM. GALAXY A5 also supports 4G LTE. Besides this, the other regular connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc are also supported.

On the other hand, the GALAXY A3 is the budget sibling of the A5. With screen size of 4.5 inch, the A3 features a 5 megapixel front camera, however, the rear camera is 8 megapixel.

The A5 and the A3 are priced at Rs. 25,500 and Rs. 20,500.

GALAXY E7 & GALAXY E5

The slim and light E7 and E5 smart phones are equipped with High definition Super AMOLED screen, feature 5 megapixel front camera, ultra power saving mode and unibody. E7 features 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen, runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). The rear camera is 13 megapixel AF with LED flash. The E7 comes with 16GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The phone is powered by 1.2Ghz quad core processor with 2GB RAM.

The GALAXY E7 features white, black and blue colours and is priced at Rs.23,000.

The other GALAXY, that is the E5 also runs on 1.2 Ghz quad core processor with 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card), however, on the memory front, it has 1.5GB of RAM. The screen size of E5 is less than the E7, it sports a 5-inch display. The main camera of the E5 is 8 megapixel and the front is 5 megapixel. While the E7 has a 2950 mAh battery, the E5 has a capacity of 2400 mAh.

E5 is available in white, black and brown colors and priced at Rs.19,300.
