Every year, there’s a speculation as to who’ll supply the application processor to Apple for their upcoming iPhone and this year Maeil Business Newspaper seems to have a confirmation from their source that Samsung will supply the AP for Apple’s next smartphone flagship.

According to the paper, Samsung will supply up to 75 percent of the Apple A9 application processor that the company will use in the upcoming iPhone.

This if true, is good news for Samsung Electronics since Samsung’s semiconductor business drastically reduced due to Apple moving to TSMC for iPhone 6 and mediocre demand for Samsung’s own smartphones.
