Expanding its 4G lineup in India, Samsung has announced the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 smartphones. The phones will sell exclusively on Flipkart and will be available for Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 14,999 respectively.
The Galaxy J5 is powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor and 1.5GB and comes with a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display (1280×720) along with a 13 megapixel camera and front-facing 5 megapixel camera with flash for brighter selfies, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot, Android 5.1, Dual SIM and 4G LTE support and 2600mAh battery.
The Galaxy J7 on the other hand, ups the ante with a 1.5GHz Exynos octa-core processor and 1.5GB RAM. It also runs Android 5.1 out of the box and comes with a 13 megapixel at the back, 5 megapixel on the front with integrated flash, 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display (1280×720), 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 3000mAh battery.
Additionally, customers buying either of the phones will also get in-game credits worth Rs. 3,200 in Gameloft games like Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5 and double data from Airtel and free music downloads worth Rs. 594 from Airtel’s Wynk app for 6 months.
