
Samsung’s latest flagship phone has been in the news and it’s for all the wrong reasons. Samsung last week announced the global recall of the Galaxy Note7 and to make the recall information easier to find, we’ve compiled a country-wise list with all the possible information required for you to exchange the device. By our estimates, Samsung has recalled the phone in over 50 countries, including delaying sales in some markets. Reportedly, this recall will cost Samsung to the tune of $1 billion.

The phone was supposed to go on sale from September 9 but the sales have been delayed. Pre-ordered customers will be sent an email with the delivery date and if you’ve purchased it from abroad, contact Samsung right away at the customer care number below.

Bulgaria
The phone is not on sale yet but Samsung expects to begin deliveries from September 19. Pre-ordered customers will be notified via email.
Canada
Samsung is recalling approx. 21,953 units that were sold in Canada from August 19 to September 1, 2016. Galaxy Note7 customers can go to the link below to register for the exchange program. Customers can get a new Galaxy Note7 or exchange for a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge through the carrier or dealer.

China
Samsung has found 1,858 affected units in the Chinese market that were sold before September 1. Samsung will notify affected customers or one can call on their customer care number mentioned below. Samsung is quick to point out that units sold from September 1 uses a different battery supplier and is unaffected by this recall.

Samsung is offering the voluntary exchange of the Galaxy Note7 with a newer one in the coming weeks. Hong Kong / Macau
Galaxy Note7 devices purchased from authorised resellers and distributors in Hong Kong and Macau since 2 September 2016 are not affected as the batteries of these devices are provided by a different supplier. But there are less than 500 units of Galaxy Note7 sold in Hong Kong and Macau between 26 August and 1 September that may be affected and for those devices, Samsung is offering a replacement with new ones.

Samsung has delayed sales of its Galaxy Note7 in India. There’s no word on the release date but customers who pre-ordered the device will get Gear VR free along with $50 Oculus content voucher.
