We told about Samsung announcing a new desktop PC range last week and while Samsung is yet to make an announcement, Amazon has gone ahead and spilled all the details about the new ArtPC Pulse range. ArtPC Pulse’s claim to fame is full desktop performance in a compact circular chassis which measures 5.5×5.5×12.2 inches.
The PC also boasts circular ambient lighting, which we assume will be customisable and a modular system that will allow users to add/remove hardware. For instance, the expensive variant will come with a 1TB HDD module whereas the same module will be optional in the cheaper one.
As for the hardware, the PC will come in options of latest Intel Core i5 (2.7GHz) or i7 (3.4GHz) processors, 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD module (default in i7 model), up to 16GB DDR4 RAM, AMD Radeon RX460 GPU, HDMI and USB Type-C port, 3 regular-size USB ports, Ethernet, SD card reader and Harman Kardon 360 speaker. The PC will run Windows 10.
The Intel Core i5 variant is priced at $1,200 whereas the powerful Core i7 is priced at $1,600 with the expected release date on October 28.
