Samsung offers monetary incentives for returning Galaxy Note7

Samsung is dead serious about Galaxy Note7’s recall and if you haven’t returned the device yet, they’re offering some incentives to change your mind. If you reside in US, returning a Galaxy Note7 would give you $100 bill credit for any Samsung device in exchange of the affected device. However, if you wish to exchange the Galaxy Note7 for any other branded smartphone, Samsung would still give you $25 bill credit.

Things are slightly different in its home country, South Korea. Samsung says any customer exchanging the Galaxy Note7 with a Samsung-branded device will get a gift card worth 30,000 won but can get a 70,000 won bill credit if they opt for a Galaxy S7 or a Galaxy S7 edge.

Samsung has not confirmed the actual recall figure but according to US CPSC, Samsung is recalling 1.9 million units in the United States alone.
