Samsung will stream select live events in VR

May 30, 2017 By anish Leave a Comment

UFC Live VR

You know Samsung is pretty serious about VR and instead of releasing new hardware every year, Samsung is focusing its VR platform on content. They’re teaming up with UFC, X Games and Live Nation to stream select live events through the Gear VR platform.

Samsung will offer these events through the VR Live Pass in the Samsung VR app in early June.

Samsung will experiment with live events beginning with UFC on June 3. The match between Aldo Vs. Holloway will be streamed in VR from Brazil. In July, Samsung will enable customers to enjoy X Games Minneapolis live and in August a live music concert in America.

Samsung is continuously expanding its Gear VR service and has expanded to 45 countries globally.
