Samsung announced the new On8 phone today, however, the phone is the Samsung J8 as it has the same specifications and features. The only difference is that the On8 will be sold online and comes at a introductory pricing of Rs. 16,990 as compared to J8 that retails for Rs. 18,990.
The On8 features a 6-inch HD+ super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 450 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The rear dual cameras are 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel with f/1.9 aperture. The selfie camera is 16-megapixel. The ON8 features artificial intelligence that allows users to experiment with the foreground and background of an image. The dual cameras also offer Bokeh mode, that Samsung calls ‘Live Focus’. The battery is rated at 3500mAh and the phone runs on Android Oreo.
The On8 will be exclusively available on Flipkart from 6 August with special offers.
