Samsung might close one of it’s mobile manufacturing unit in China

August 14, 2018 By anish Leave a Comment

Samsung is facing some tough competition not only in India, but in China as well. Samsung’s market share in China is now less than 1% this year, a fall from 20% five years ago. Brands like Xiaomi, OPPO, Huawei, Vivo, OnePlus are beating Samsung in China. As a result, Samsung might consider shutting one of the mobile manufacturing unit at Tianjin Samsung Telecom Technology, located in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin. However, the Korean electronics giant is not yet decided on its Tianjin operation.

In India as well, Xiaomi has surpassed Samsung to become the number one smartphone brand in the hyper-competitive market.

Having said that, Samsung recently opened the largest mobile manufacturing unit in Noida, India.
