Samsung debuts Galaxy A9 with four rear cameras

October 11, 2018 By Siddhanth Leave a Comment

How many rear cameras do you really need in a smartphone? Google may say only one but if you ask Samsung, it’s going to be four! Yes, four camera sensors are what you’ll find in the new Galaxy A9.

The phone fits four sensors at the back – an ultra wide f/2.4 8MP 120-degree, 10MP f/2.4 telephoto with 2X optical zoom, 24MP f/1.7 main sensor and 5MP f/2.2 depth camera and will also come with software optimisation to improve the overall picture quality.

As far as the device is concerned, the Galaxy A9 will sell in three colours – Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink with a glass panel at the back with 3D effect.

The Galaxy A9 comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Exynos processor, 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage with the support for microSD card slot (up to 512GB).

There’s fast charging USB-C support, 3800mAh battery, dual-SIM connectivity, Always-on, and fingerprint, as well as face, unlock support.

The Galaxy A9 will go on sale in select markets from November.
